Whitney Moore is a representational oil painter, working primarily in smaller formats.
Whitney began painting as a way to create memories with her mother and aunt, both of whom are also oil painters inspired by their grandmother’s landscapes of Southern California. Whitney’s career kept her from dedicating much time to painting, but a sabbatical in 2017 allowed her time to pursue her love of art.
Born and raised in Southern California, Whitney has always had creative tendencies. She enjoys working in various mediums, but focuses mainly on oil painting. While Whitney paints both still life and landscapes in studio - flowers and fruit are her favorite subjects, she also enjoys the challenge of plein air painting and the opportunity to capture the natural beauty of California’s varied topography, along with the amazing variety of native trees, plants and flowers.
Whitney is an award winning member of the San Dieguito Art Guild and shows her work at the Off Track Gallery in Encinitas. She has studied with Elizabeth Robbins, Shanna Kunz, Kathy Anderson, Daniel Keyes, Marjorie Taylor and Jeff Yeomans.

She lives in coastal San Diego and paints as often as possible with her mother, aunt and sister.
